You Can't Fence In Joy: 2026 Miracle Series Raises the Bar

CINCINNATI, OH (July 31, 2026)—"My Dad, man, oh my gosh, how he would have loved this moment," said Kim Nuxhall as he choked back tears standing on the mound of the Joy Factory that his father's legacy helped to create.
The moment? The 2026 Miracle Series: a program that brought together more than 160 special needs athletes from six different states to play baseball, create new friendships, and experience love and belonging.
The program, hosted in conjunction with "The Mayor" Sean Casey and his adaptive sports organization, Casey's Clubhouse, is the biggest installment in a program that is transforming lives and communities.
"When we first hosted this program in 2022," says Nuxhall, "we didn't know how we'd ever top that moment. Well, thanks to an incredible team of athletes, families, volunteers, and encouragers, we topped it."
Across four days, special needs all-stars from six different participating programs got to play games, participate in a player combine with hitting and fielding stations, splash around in a pool party, and attend a Cincinnati Reds game at Great American Ballpark. These six organizations traveled hundreds of miles to experience the program and take part in the festivities:
More than 200 volunteers gave their time, effort, and energy throughout the weekend to help create this unforgettable experience.
"The friendships made across these four days remind us all that deep down, when we come together, we've got the power to make dreams come true for children and adults who deserve our very best," says Tyler Bradshaw, Executive Director for The Nuxhall Foundation. "Seeing those smiles, home runs, and moments of pure, unbridled joy...I just hope in every moment, we made Joe proud."
The program has plans to continue and grow in the years ahead thanks to the partnership between The Nuxhall Foundation, Casey's Clubhouse, and the informal network of other adaptive sports organizations that are committed to growing the game.

About The Nuxhall Foundation
The Nuxhall Foundation is the legacy foundation for former Major League Baseball pitcher and longtime Cincinnati Reds broadcaster, the late Joe Nuxhall. The Nuxhall Foundation carries forward three important legacy projects. A central project of The Nuxhall Foundation is The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields—an entirely accessible baseball and recreational facility where every player with every challenge gets every chance to play.
