Leading Ladies Night Out Returns to Topgolf on April 25

FAIRFIELD, OH (February 15, 2024)—An incredibly fun and new tradition returns to help support the special needs athletes at The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields—and you’re invited to join.

Leading Ladies Night Out, an evening celebrating women who make miracles in Greater Cincinnati, takes place on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Topgolf in West Chester. Proceeds from the event will support The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields—a place where every individual with every challenge gets every chance to play and experience belonging.

Local 12’s host of Good Morning Cincinnati Aleah Hordges and Amanda Brennaman, wife of Hall of Fame Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman, are returning as celebrity hosts of the event. Attendees are invited to join Gray and Brennaman for a fun night of Topgolf gameplay, food and drink, and networking.

"Hosting Leading Ladies Night Out to support the incredible work of The Nuxhall Foundation is a tremendous honor for me,” says Brennaman. Throughout their legendary careers, Marty and Joe built such incredible goodwill through their genuine friendship, and it's fun for me to see that carry on through this event with all the people who listened to them on the radio for years. When we all come together for this event, we are raising awareness and funds to help a cause that is near and dear to my heart, and so many good things happen as a result. I love the game of golf, and this event makes me love it even more!"

Aleah Hordges joined the award-winning crew of Good Morning Cincinnati on Local 12 in July of 2022, and she is already making an incredible impact on the Greater Cincinnati region and the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields.

"One of my very first and inspiring events that I attended since moving to Cincinnati was the 2022 Nuxy Bash,” says Hordges. “There was a genuine welcome from everyone. It was then when I realized how incredible The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields is and its important mission to support inclusivity. I'm so fortunate to use my platform in helping more athletes and families feel seen, while rallying around influential women during Leading Ladies Night Out."

This year’s Leading Ladies Night Out will be the third installment of the event, which includes fun Topgolf gameplay, delicious food and drink, giveback shopping with vendors like Kendra Scott, a robust silent auction, and tremendous community building. In its first two years, the event has raised more than $45,000 to support the work of The Nuxhall Foundation.

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will support the Miracle Series, a program that provides a travel experience for a team of Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields athletes and their families. This year, the Miracle Series will take place at the Pittsburgh at the Miracle League of the South Hills, led by Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer “The Mayor” Sean Casey. Close to 50 athletes and volunteers are scheduled to make the trip, which will include games at the facility and a trip to watch the Cincinnati Reds take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. More information is available at www.nuxhallmiracleleague.org/miracleseries

Additional proceeds will help to fund the ongoing operations at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, including the exciting addition of new, accessible playground equipment that promotes imaginative play and sensory development.

Seeing so many people come out for this event helps me to know that our future is in great hands and the work we do in honor of my Dad will continue on for a long, long time.”
