Leading Ladies Night Out Returns for Second Installment on April 27

FAIRFIELD, OH (February 16, 2023)—A night “fore” a great cause is returning for a second year to benefit athletes with special needs!

Leading Ladies Night Out, an evening celebrating female leadership in Greater Cincinnati, takes place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Topgolf in West Chester. Proceeds from the event will support The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields—a place where every individual with every challenge gets every chance to play and experience belonging.

Local 12’s host of Good Morning Cincinnati Sheila Gray and Amanda Brennaman, wife of Hall of Fame Cincinnati Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman, are returning as celebrity hosts of the event. Attendees are invited to join Gray and Brennaman for a fun night of Topgolf gameplay, food and drink, and networking.

“It is my absolute honor to have been asked to co-host, along with Sheila Gray, this Leading Ladies Night Out event for the second year in a row,” says Amanda Brennaman. “Last year the amount of fun and camaraderie we all shared while supporting the mission of The Nuxhall Foundation was a top highlight of my year. The Brennaman and Nuxhall names go hand-in-hand in our community, and we (yes, we let Marty tag along) are so excited to engage with other women leaders playing a game I have grown to love.”

Gray is the 2019 winner of The Joe Nuxhall Humanitarian Award presented by The Nuxhall Foundation, and a dynamic presence on the morning airwaves of Cincinnati television news. Gray has been a prolific supporter of The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields and its special needs athletes.

“I have a job that allows me to tell great stories of people and things happening in our community,” says Gray. “Those stories unfold every season at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields as we celebrate a simple mission: making dreams come true for our athletes and their families. On Leading Ladies Night Out we are able to give special recognition to dynamic women in our community, introduce new friends to our organization, and catch up with special people we already know.”

The inaugural installment of Leading Ladies Night Out in 2022 was a tremendous success, with more than 200 participants selling out an entire floor at Topgolf. The event raised nearly $20,000 to support work being done at The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support the Miracle Series, a program that provides a travel experience for a team of Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields athletes and their families. This year, the Miracle Series will take place at the Cal Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at their annual summer tournament, in which Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer Sean Casey will serve as the tournament’s MLB ambassador. Only four Miracle Leagues from across the country have been invited to participate in this year’s event. Event proceeds will help to provide for lodging, transportation expenses, team supplies, and meals. More information is available at www.nuxhallmiracleleague.org/miracleseries

“Sheila and Amanda did an all-star job last year by bringing together some of our old friends with new supporters to create a night that was fun and full of energy,” says Kim Nuxhall, President and Board Chairman of The Nuxhall Foundation. “They each pour their hearts into our mission, and they are each leaders of great character. We are overjoyed that they are continuing to make a difference by turning our Leading Ladies Night Out into a fantastic tradition.”
