Donzetta Nuxhall Laid to Rest; First Couple of Cincinnati Reds Baseball Reunited Forever

Updated: Aug 3, 2022

FAIRFIELD, OH (July 25, 2022)—At 11am this morning, Donzetta Nuxhall was placed at her final resting place—beside her husband Joe at The Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio. Donzetta enjoyed a long life of nearly 94 years, having spent 60 of those wonderful years alongside her adoring husband “Nuxy.” That incredible life was filled with memories and experiences like no other for a couple whose character and integrity were unmatched in a world that desperately needed them. Now, the legacy of their goodness and caring for others will continue with their sons, Phillip Joseph Nuxhall and Kim Nuxhall, and the initiatives of The Nuxhall Foundation and all of its amazing supporters. The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to the lifelong friends, neighbors, supporters, The Cincinnati Reds, and Reds fans all over this wonderful community of Hamilton, Fairfield, Butler County, Greater Cincinnati and beyond.

In lieu of flowers, Donzetta and the family requested that those wishing to express their condolences consider making a contribution to The Nuxhall Foundation online at www.nuxhallmiracleleague.org/donate or via a check made out and mailed to: The Nuxhall Foundation P.O. Box 18146 Fairfield, Ohio 45018-0146

Our hearts are still heavy as we come to terms with the magnitude of this loss, but Donzetta has passed a very, very bright torch for all of us to carry into the future. Let’s all find a way to make both Joe and Donzetta proud with everything we do in their names.
