Cruise In For Kids Car Show Celebrates 10th Anniversary on June 30

FAIRFIELD, OH (June 21, 2024)—A favorite family tradition will celebrate 10 years of cruising and miracle-making at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields!

The 10th Annual Cruise In For Kids Car Show returns to the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 9am-3pm.

A fan-favorite of the Greater Cincinnati car community, The Cruise In For Kids Car Show raises funds to support the ongoing mission of The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields. Over the previous nine years, the event has raised more than $140,000 to support the athletic and recreational experiences provided to the special needs community by The Nuxhall Foundation.

“There is no better crew than the team that plans our incredible car show year after year, and we are so grateful for their continued dedication,” said Kim Nuxhall, President and Board Chairman of The Nuxhall Foundation and The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields. “This is a team of volunteers that truly fires on all cylinders, and they’re fueled by hearts of gold. The funds they raise with this event help us to provide big-league opportunities for our athletes with exceptionalities, and we can’t wait to see another big crowd this year.”

A team of more than a dozen volunteer committee members, led by Steve Crain and Ken Rhodus, spend months planning to deliver a championship-caliber event each year.

Registration for participating cars, trucks, and motorcycles is $20, and general admission to the event is free. Last year, nearly 200 vehicles were featured during the event.

Throughout the day, the event will also feature music, raffles, door prizes, and a split the pot contest with all proceeds benefitting the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields. Food from Chester’s Pizza, Mexi-Q, and Flubs will be available throughout the event. Joey The Can-Do Kangaroo, the mascot at The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, will also make an appearance with copies of the companion children’s book also available for purchase. The event will also feature live music from Fifth Crow beginning at noon.

A record number of corporate sponsors signed on to support this year’s event. NAPA and D&S Auto Parts return for their third year as the trophy sponsor for the event, along with a list of more than 20 dedicated pit crew sponsors who help to maximize the event’s impact.

The 10th Annual Cruise In For Kids Car Show opens for registration at 9am (no early registration permitted) on Sunday, June 30 at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields (4850 Groh Lane in Fairfield). The first 100 entries will receive a complimentary dash plaque. Registration closes at 12pm. Judging will take place from 12-3pm with trophies awarded to the top 40 entries in a variety of different categories at the conclusion of the show. The event will take place rain or shine.

The Nuxhall Foundation is the legacy foundation for former Major League Baseball pitcher and longtime Cincinnati Reds broadcaster, Joe Nuxhall.
