Make Everybody Feel Like a Somebody
“I remember my first visit to the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields a few years ago. I watched these amazing all-star athletes with different abilities shine and light up the place like one big joy factory. It was like the word ‘can’t’ did not even exist in their minds and hearts. With Joey, I wanted the book to remind all of our friends with special needs that they too can do anything. I hope it anchors them to this message: don’t let what you think you are talk you out of what you can become. And to all readers young and old, may it move all of us to be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody.”

The Nuxhall Foundation represents three initiatives began by Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame broadcaster, Joe Nuxhall, which includes The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League, The Joe Nuxhall Character Education Fund and The Joe Nuxhall Scholarship Fund.
The Nuxhall Foundation continues to carry out three of Joe's greatest passions: to have a place where every kid, with every challenge, gets every chance to play the game of baseball.
He also placed a high value on building character into young people and providing opportunities to receive an education.
Our Mascot Joey
Joey is our Miracle League mascot, who brings hope to our Miracle League Fields games and events and helps along with our book Joey the Can-Do Kangaroo, to bring character education into schools and to students. Learn more about Joey below!
