Greetings, Miracle League
Players & Families!

As spring season is winding down at the end of May, summer registration is here! Great Miami Valley YMCA youth miracle league registrations are now open for our summer leagues, which will be played on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, beginning Thursday, June 6 through Thursday, August 1 (excluding July 4). This will allow us to stay out of the heat of the day, to take advantage of dugout misting units to keep players cool, and to enjoy a touch of lights during our evening games at the fields!

I’ve attached both a summer league schedule, as well as a registration form for the summer league. As always, registration costs are only $20 per player, and include a hat, shirt, and end-of-season award for each player. As we look to continue to grow our league, please feel free to not only complete this registration for your own players, but share this with other players in our area who would love to “PLAY BALL” all summer long!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. For your convenience, I will be taking registrations at the fields throughout the next three weekends, so feel free to drop off your forms to me and save a trip into one of our Great Miami Valley YMCA branches.

Thanks again, everyone, for your support of the youth miracle leagues! See you at the ballpark!

Building Men & Women For Others
-- a huge success !

More than 2000 young men, women and their families gathered on Friday March 1st to listen to Kim Nuxhall, Sean Casey, Puliitzer-Prize-winning author Jeffrey Marx and the unbelievably inspirational Joe Ehrmann, the defensive lineman and first-round draft pick and first-round draft pick for the Baltimore Colts.

Joe took on the three pervasive myths that he says cause the most confusion in the lives of developing young men and women, the three myths that get in the way of the best and most fundamental truths like. "Listen to your heart" and "Do unto others".

The essence of Joe's presentation is a cornerstone in the Joe Nuxhall Character Development effort. If you were't there on Friday night, we urge you to buy the book, "Season of Life" by Jeffrey Marx. It's a great read and a wonderful chronicle of a human being that's really making a differnece in this world.

Dedication!

That word has two meanings. It means that the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields are now dedicated, but it's also the dedication of hundreds of unbelievably generous organizations and people that the fields are nearly ready for league play.

Hundreds of people including fans, workers and supporters from all over came to watch the field's dedication ceremonies.

One of five “dreams” supported by the Joe Nuxhall Hope Project, the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields will create the region's first multi-field complex suited to tournament play.

Since 2008, the Joe Nuxhall Hope Project has developed plans for the fields, in partnership with Therapeutic Recreation for the Disabled, Inc.; the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Miracle League; the Fairfield Community Foundation; the Fairfield Optimist Club; and the Hatton Foundation.
